Love Microsoft, but one thing that drives me crazy and I know many others is when things change, items get moved around or the name gets changed. Well today that happened to me. I am not for sure when this happened but it cannot be that long ago. Today I was looking at creating another filter for my Intune setup.
If you are not famialer with what filters are or what or how they are used. Filters are a powerful feature used to narrow down the scope of device and user assignments based on specific conditions. Filters allow administrators to target policies, apps, and configurations only to devices or users that meet certain criteria, improving precision and flexibility in device management.
They act basically the same as Dynamic filters for groups but give you flexibility to to narrow down the scope of what you want to apply to without having to create a group.
You did find them under Tenant administration > Filters. Well today I could not find them to save my life, then I looked a little bit further up the list of items and now they are known as “Assignment filters”. OK, OK I know, not a big deal but man when you get used to something its hard to break a habit.
