Intune – Cisco Umbrella MAC

Trying to learn a new OS is hard. I have always been a Windows guy, tried MAC and Linux and still come back to Windows. For better or worse, that’s me. As within IT you have to learn and deal with new environments every day and MAC and Intune is no exception. I have been working with a new customer, and they have MACs. I will say doing things in MACs and in Intune is not that much different but it has some challenges for sure. Here is one example of that. How to install and configure Cisco Umbrella along with the VPN client. I will be 100% honest here I did not do this myself I found this great article on how to do this, but I wanted to share with you that same information. This person did a great job documenting the steps and they are 100% spot on and as of this writing January 15th, 2025 it still works. I want to thank this person for that write up and again give them 100% credit. I did try something different and again inspired by their use of GitHub I decided to do the same setup, why not? I have always looked at GitHub articles like this and wanted to do one or in this case copy and do some updates to it. My goal will be start to do more articles in GitHub and put links on these pages to them.
